We start at the Begin marker located just south of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House at the eastern boundary of the open space along Isleta Blvd. SW.
and we walk to the southeast border of the open space at the corner of Isleta Blvd. SW and Hubbell Circle
and followed the trail to the west along Hubbell Circle.
About half way down the southern border we come to the 0.1 Mile marker
At this point, we take a look across the field and back at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House. There's plenty of Dandelion (Taraxacum) plants on the southern edge of the field.
We continue to the southwest corner of the open space at the Hubbell Circle entrance
and take a view behind us at the parking field.
A couple shots of the rose hips on the wild rose (Rosa Woodsii) at the corner
before turning to the north and following the western edge of the trail.
Duck footprints in the loose dirt.
And continuing on...
past the water gate
to the 0.2 Mile marker next to the rest spot.
Continuing to the north,
we pass the dirt service road leading to the front of the open space and the picnic table
and get some great shots of the Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus Quinquefolia) vines on the trees along the Pajarito Ditch at the end of the service road.
Proceeding on past the next rest area
we take a shot of the greenhouse through the opening behind the bench.
Moving on in the northern direction
we arrive at the northwest corner of the original Perimeter Prescription Trail and the 0.3 Mile marker.
Although the trail continues to the north, we turn right and head east, following the original open space trail.
About half way to the next corner we take a shot of the greenhouse and Judy's Trading Post and Auction.
At the northeast corner of the trail,
we turn south and walk along the Isleta Blvd. border towards the main entrance. About half way we come upon the 0.4 Mile marker
The remainder of the trail crosses the front of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House to the Begin sign, concluding the approximately 0.5 mile Prescription Perimeter Trail.
