About This (we)Blog (or What this Weblog is all about).

I created the Views From the Perimeter Prescription Trails at Gutierrez - Hubbell House Open Space (we)blog to share images of the changes which happen along the trails at relatively short intervals.

The Gutierrez-Hubbell House Open Space is located south of Albuquerque, NM on the west bank of the Rio Grande in the south valley village of Pajarito,

about 3 miles north of the Isleta Pueblo.

I won't spend any time on the history of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House because there are many web sites out there on the subject and all of which will do a better job than I can.  A couple of sites to investigate are:
This (we)blog will deal primarily with the views of the open space as observed from the perimeter prescription trails.  I may, however, include some images from the Gutierrez-Hubbell House if I can remember to bring the camera the next time I visit it.

The Gutierrez - Hubbell House Open Space is bounded on the west by the Pajarito Ditch,

on the south by Hubbell Circle SW,

on the east by Isleta Blvd. SW,

and on the north by Don Felipe Rd SW.

The Perimeter Prescription Trails run along the boundaries of the open space with rest spots, refuse cans

 and picnic areas.

The original trail running along the north edge of the original open space is still maintained as part of the Perimeter Prescription Trail.
