April 8, 2013 - Blossoms

It's been a week since Oscar (a Wheaton Terrier) and I were here last, and things have really been changing around the Gutierrez-Hubbell House Open Space.

We entered the open space from Hubbell Circle at the Pajarito Ditch entrance.

Below is a picture of the southern boundary of the open space, running west to east along Hubbell Circle to Isleta Blvd.

A view to the left (north) along the Pajarito Ditch at the back of the open space,

to the west across the Pajarito Ditch,

and south to the entrance gate on Hubbell Circle.

The ditch is still full

There's Oscar again...

The Wild Plum (Prunus Americana) on the opposite bank is in full blossom at the first water gate that you come to heading north on the perimeter prescription trail.

This (east) bank of the ditch is also in blossom.

There's a little pond at the bottom of this picture.

More and more blossoms...

Oscar is patiently waiting to continue his walk.

 And another row of blossoms

A view behind after passing the blossoming trees above.

And the final group of flowering trees on the walk.
