We entered the main entrance and parking lot, immediately turned right and began our walk on the perimeter prescription trail heading north along the east side (Isleta Blvd. boundary) of the open space.
We passed by the greenhouse and new tree plantings all along the inside of the trail. They should provide a nice shady cover on hot afternoons when they mature.
At the corner of the Gutierrez open space is a group of Osage-orange trees, a picnic table,
and an exit from the open space.
After exiting the open space, we crossed the driveway to the entrance of the Hubbell Extension (a.k.a. Hubbell North) open space
and continue on the perimeter prescription trail in the Hubbell Extension (a.k.a. Hubbell North)
Some photos of the planted field and the buildings at the rear of the property.
The Pajarito Market is across Isleta Blvd. from the Hubbell Extension (a.k.a. Hubbell North).
Looking back down the trail from the northeast corner of the extension.
And the trail running along Don Felipe Drive at the north end of the property.
There's a nice shady spot along the trail
we continued to the exit from the extension at the northwest corner, where Don Felipe Road crosses the Pajarito Ditch.
Some Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus Quinquefolia) vines are starting to come alive on the fence separating the perimeter trail from the extension field.
Some shots of the Hubbell Extension (a.k.a. Hubbell North) structures at the rear (west side) of the property.
The trail behind us
and ahead.
And we arrive at the northwest corner of the Gutierrez-Hubble House Open Space.
