April 14, 2013 - A walk around the perimeter of the original open space.

Today's walk begins at the entrance to Gutierrez House parking lot, but instead of entering the property, Oscar (a Wheaton Terrier) and I will walk south along Isleta Blvd. to Hubbell Circle, then proceed to the entrance where the Pajarito Ditch meets Hubbell Circle.

This is a shot along the north side of the caretaker's house between the parking lot and the house.

The front of the caretaker's house.

And the left side (south) of the caretaker's house, and the fence dividing the parking lot/caretaker's house from the Gutierrez-Hubbell House.

The Gutierrez-Hubbell House and the replica of a covered (chuck) wagon in the foreground.

A couple of shots of the front of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House from Isleta Blvd.

A couple of photos of the eastern boundary on Isleta Blvd., looking to the north along Isleta Blvd. at the corner with Hubbell Circle.

And some more along the southern boundary along Hubbell Circle from the same corner at Isleta Blvd.

Across the field (which also serves as a parking lot for special events at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House) to the northwest,

the north,

and northeast.

Another shot of Hubbell Circle along the open space facing west.

The entrance to the Gutierrez-Hubbell House Open Space from Hubbell Circle at the Pajarito Ditch crossing.

This picture was taken from the top of the Pajarito Ditch where Hubbell Circle crosses over it.

Some images of a wild rose (Rosa woodsii) loaded with rose hips just inside the southwest boundary of the open space.

and another stand a bit further down the path.

Familiar view of the first water gate that you come to when heading north along the Pajarito Ditch.

And pictures of both banks of the ditch, showing the not so spectacular remnants of the Wild Plum blossoms seen earlier in the week.

And Oscar waiting patiently at the crossing over the water gate.

Some closeups of the remaining Wild Plum blossoms.

A couple of shots of the rear of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House to the east.

And some more Wild Plum blossoms.
