March 27, 2013 - The Pajarito Ditch is full

The Pajarito Ditch is full once again this morning and the demonstration farm field is being watered.

These photos are of the ditch behind the Gutierrez-Hubbell House, facing toward the Hubbell Circle southern boundary of the open space.

The first water gate we encounter as we head south on the perimeter prescription trail.

A couple of shots down the trail facing south.  That's the southern boundary of the open space on Hubbell Circle in the distance.

Back behind the demonstration farm field, we can see that watering is in process.  That's the greenhouse in the center rear of the photo.

And there's Judy's Trading Post and Auction in the center of this photo, across Isleta Blvd. from the open space

A look to the northeast of the demonstration farm field.

The ditch running to the north along the west boundary of the open space

If you click on the following photos you can make out the ducks taking advantage of the watering

And some white herons (snowy egrets?)
